About the SKRIBBL link -- I accidentally deleted that blog when I messing around with settings and it seems to now direct you to a porn site... so if anybody's got a link to SKRIBBL, please delete... and anyway, the SKETCHBOOK PROJECT has taken over its function anyway... so no great loss, I guess.

Blogger on strike yesterday (refusing to upload pics... and that's the whole point of being here...) -- dashing off this entry under threat of DMD's (Deadlines of Mass Destruction)... have current pre-occupation with Mermaids.... working on a story of maritime love and revenge... a bit like Tarantino does "Splash" ;-)

Welcome to Friday... this is your captain speaking. This blog is scheduled for an emergency landing into the weekend in about 16 hours. This is a non-smoking flight, and we have smoke-detectors and automatic flamethrowers installed in the bathrooms. We apologise.. there will be some severe turbulence, so drinks service has been suspended... here, suck on a breathmint so long....

Brushpen mania!!

A little bit of an intense/hectic/frantic/insane/caffeine-fueled/bizarre/creative(hopefully) drawing session recently using a very nice brushpen and a wee spot of watercolour and whiteout dropped in later... I'll let the drawings speak for themselves ;-)

Oh My Gawd!! -- two posts in a row, you must be dreaming...LOL. Not really -- dashing off weird shit and then off to Pietermaritzburg for a session of workshops... so no more blogging until Monday. Amazing, for once I have a legit excuse ;-)
Apologies for drawing some extremely weird stuff at the moment -- but I guess that's where my head is and I shouldn't self-censor...so there! The girl above sort of just happened... I then grabbed some old magic markers and kept going, quite intrigues by the hard edge she devekoped... then I got bored and added the tattoos as an afterthought. (I did however forget how magic markers bleed through the paper and messed up the previous page... idiot!)

Hola Blogganistas!! I've been a very bad blogger... still not drawing much non-work shtuff at the moment...gotta break that jinx!! Now!! Pull yerself together, laddie!! (...and maybe worry more about why I'm talking to myself... or should that be typing to myself?)

Yes, dear punters, I ask myself that same question all the time. I offer no excuses... I even decided to punish myself by administering 40 lashes with wet fettucini noodles!! (no sauce)
The above drawing is my first submission to the SKETCHBOOK PROJECT -- a collaborative project of a whole bunch of SA cartoonist/artists keeping a sketchbook from now until May next year, which will then be displayed at hopefully several exhibitions... cool stuff!! Check it out!! Personally am very interested to see what'll come out of it... hope you all have a lekka weekend (hopefully my home internet connection will be back online by this weekend)
